What is your best natural remedy and for what condition?

I've had a lot of success with natural remedies. You?

I am somewhat an expert in this area and especially in aromatherapy. I am a certified aromatherapist and using pure essential oils of different aeromatic plants can be very therapeutic. First, an essential oil is the purest essence of any plant. This liquid part of the plant can be extracted from stems, roots, leaves, bark and mostly from flowers. Essential oils can be used by various methods, such as inhaling via steam or fan diffusion, used “neat” directly rubbed on the skin, diluted in waters such as soaking in a bath tub, etc. One thing you need to know first about using essential oils is that you should test them first on a small part of your skin to make sure you are not allergic and those suffering from chronic lung problems will need to ask their doctor is it's ok to use, because some oils can be very strong and caustic.

So with that said, here are a few natural remedies:

Lavender can be used to help with skin conditions and to help calm and sleep.

Orange and most Citrus can be used for chronic fatigue to help wake in the morning and to help with focus and concentration.

Tea Tree is a great anti-viral and anti-fungal and can be used to diffuse when you have an upper respiratory cough or cold, it can be used directly on the skin for insect bites or put directly on a cold sore to help it heal quickly.

Peppermint is great for general joint aches and pains as well as headaches. I put it directly on my joints or on the temples of my head when I have a headache.

There are many more….just check the information part of my website to get much more information on using essential oils in aromatherapy.
